Project Overview
The UNC Asheville Highsmith Student Union required environmental graphics and wayfinding elements to support navigation while reinforcing the university’s visual identity throughout the busy campus hub. The project extended existing brand standards into an integrated graphic system that improves orientation and communicates key student services within the space.

Outcome
Developed concepts and layouts while applying UNC Asheville brand standards across environmental graphics and wayfinding elements, establishing typography, iconography, and messaging hierarchy, and preparing production-ready artwork for large-format graphics and signage.
Design Approach
The visual system applies UNC Asheville’s brand language across large-scale environmental graphics and directional signage to support intuitive navigation within the student union. Clear typography, iconography, and consistent messaging hierarchy guide visitors through the space while maintaining alignment with the university’s broader visual identity.
The project established a consistent wayfinding and environmental graphic system within the Highsmith Student Union. Large-scale wall graphics and signage improve navigation and visibility of student services while strengthening the university’s brand presence throughout the building.
